On Friday, the above citizens of the tinsel town were busy meeting the people, seeking votes to candidates fielded by alliances led by the two major political parties of Tamil Nadu.
While Vijayakanth and Sarath Kumar, the former and present chiefs of South Indian Film Artistes Association, campaigned for the opposition AIADMK-led alliance, Bhagyaraj and Kushboo batted for the ruling DMK-led front.
The speeches of Kushboo and Bhagyaraj were a huge draw among the women voters, while Vijayakanth and Sarath Kumar attracted a huge number of youngsters to meetings addressed by them.Besides these four, other stars are also there in the fray, canvassing votes for the April 13 Assembly elections. The list includes some immensely popular names like Vadivelu (DMK) and Karthik (All India Naadalum Makkal Katchi)
