Rajinikanth, who was grandly welcomed by his fans, was not treated with respect, when he landed at the Chennai airport on Wednesday night (July 13). The superstar, who arrived from Singapore with his family, was not properly facilitated by the officials and did not consider him in as a VIP.
The universal Kollywood icon was reportedly made to travel by a bus rather than providing a taxi from the runway. Adding to that the airport officials delayed him in clearing on entry into the arrival terminal. A source complains, “Generally, for VIPs, they provide taxis for their convenience and clear without much checking. But in Rajini's case, they provided a bus and failed to accelerate the process.”
He further adds, “Even though, they know that he was not fully recovered, the sleuths did not finish the procedures quickly. Nonetheless, Rajinikanth had no issues rather he co-operated with them like an ordinary citizen. The security at the airport was also not up to the mark. Knowing that the Endhiran star's arrival could bring in a lot of his fans, the cops would have tighten the security, as he faced some minor difficulties while going out.”
“It looked like Rajnikanth's family did not inform about their arrival to CM Jayalalitha. Had they seek her help, she would have ordered the authorities for a speedy clearance of the superstar.” The source concludes.
