Lean beauty Priya Anand is to play second female lead in Kamal Haasan’s Viswaroopam. Kamal impressed with Priya’s work in 180 has given her a chance to be a part of his dream project. Still the search for main heroine is not over. Earlier he zeroed on Sonakshi Sinha but she walked out of project on call sheet issues. Now Kamal is trying to rope Sonam Kapoor or Priyanka Chopra.
Kamal Haasan will play a negative role in ‘Viswaroopam’, say sources in the tinsel town. The Ulaganayagan, who is also directing this film, has a strong desire to portray a role akin to the one he did in ‘Sigappu Rojakkal’ several years ago. He was in fact yearning to do such a role, but the opportunity for it has just surfaced with ‘Viswaroopam’.
Kamal has selected some exotic locations for this movie and has everything ready except the female lead. He is in talks with several leading ladies but has confirmed none, reports our sources.
Priya Anand, who made her screen debut with Sekhar Kammula’s Leader, is said to have caught the attention of Kamal Hasan and she is likely to play the second female lead in his next film Viswaroopam.
Kamal is yet to finalise the first female lead and he wants a Bollywood lady for the part. Initially, there were reports that Sonakshi Sinha will play the role but for reasons not known, she has been sidelined. Now, the names of Sonam Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, Anushka Sharma are said to be under consideration. The problem appears to be giving bulk dates and some say that of remuneration also.
This film described as a psychological thriller will be directed by Selva Raghavan. Pre-production works are in progress and the film will go on floors soon. The film will be tri-lingual – Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.
